China is aggressively expanding its control over electric vehicle manufacturing and critical minerals. To keep America in the lead, Congress must defend smart, pro-manufacturing policies that strengthen our national security and onshore critical parts of the supply chain.

Tax incentives like these are doing just that—putting U.S. auto jobs first, boosting American competitiveness, and building the vehicles of the future here at home, not abroad. They support consumer access to American-made EVs. They also help small businesses modernize fleets and reduce costs. And they keep EV battery manufacturing in the U.S.—not in China’s hands.

We can’t afford to cede ground. These policies are about jobs, security, and keeping America’s edge in a competitive global economy.
